Prairie Rainbows

Somewhere over the rainbow...

How can we speak of a rainbow

without having witnessed it on the open prairie?

Its full expanse framed by the endless sky and gentle land

Its slight glimmer reflected in the waves of golden tall grass

The hint of rain clouds scattered by the overwhelming pleasure of the colored light

Somewhere over that rainbow

a little girl soars with eagles

a little boy gallops with horses

dreams...dreams are reality

So matter of fact that no one questions them

All is more than possible

That is what you find over the prairie rainbow
