I get the feeling many of us want to take control of our health and well being this holiday season! I am very passionate about health and fitness. I truly believe it is the most important core value we can have. I am amazed how many people don’t pay attention to their health with 66% of Americans overweight. We need to each commit to being part of the solution and not contribute to the problem.
Your health is the foundation to any… Continue

What if...tomorrow you decide to make your
daily nutrition as important as your workout?
What if...tonight you decided to go to
bed 15 minutes early and get up 15 minutes early tomorrow?
What if...you decided that your
personal development was worth reading 10 pages of a good book before bed instead of mindlessly channel surfing? Connect online with other BTBS moms to learn and grow?
What if...you…

Young mothers need a lifeline. That lifeline is often a local playgroup. Many moms go from working outside the home to staying at home with no preparation or training! These play groups help us bond with others in the same situation and they give us a reason to put on a clean shirt. The kids play on the floor while the moms usually stand around having a cup coffee. Some of us are hoping to learn the secret to being a perfect mom and some are just…

Did you ever experience a Godwink? I do all the time. Sometimes they are few and far between. The other day I had four! Four distinct Godwinks directed to me with clarity. They were all good messages to steer me in the proper direction at the time and made me realize my choices were right for me. I wonder sometimes why I get redirected like that, from what seems to be a higher force or being watching over me.
One of my boys was in the car…

Feeling Bored? Annoyed? Uninspired? Maybe it is not your life that's bothering you but, rather the size of your game! So, what game are you playing today? Is it
Don't Break the Ice, Monopoly, Sorry, Perfection, Trouble, Risk or an old favorite

While many married or single moms might find it hard -- or even insulting -- to relate to Kate's celebrity status, eight kids, mansion and even the hair, two experts say there is plenty that moms can learn from Jon & Kate's divorce when it comes to protecting kids and themselves.
"Take the Jon & Kate example, and do the mirror opposite," said a West Chester based divorce attorney. "Until you are dead and buried, you will have a connection to that person through your…

Debbie Ford has inspired me to share this with you! Taking risks is scary at times but not as scary as standing still. How many people do you know who are caught up in the same routine every day, with the same people, and saying "one day I am going to make a change." That ordinary mind set of waiting around for the 'pot of gold' to arrive on their door step one day. Debbie shares, "
Ordinary people wait for the pot gold to show up and extraordinary people go out and mine their gold."…

Well, I'm thinking about that but I recently learned that I CAN DO ANYTHING! I made a short "bucket list" a while back when I realized I had 365 days to get used to the idea of turning 50. I was a dancer all my life and auditioned for various Broadway shows and the Rockette's in the mid and late 70s. Back then there were criteria that aren't such an issue now, so it was really tough. It was hard to keep being rejected but dancing on B'way was my…

You aren't given the people you want; you are given the people you NEED.... to help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you into the person you were meant to be..
YOU'RE ON THE CLOCK--Be the woman you were always meant to be now--don't put it off. As I often say to myself, "times a ticking." Enjoy who you have become as a mother and a… Continue

Nine years ago I was a mom standing at the bus stop--not sure what had happened to all my dreams as a little girl. There was one nagging dream that had not come true. As a young girl I had dreams of working in TV and I especially thought it would be exciting in TV sports. You see I would sit in the stands with my dad in the 70's and look down at all the cameras and wonder how do people get a job like that.
I want that job! Life moves…
