Find Your "Uniform" and Stick With It!

Let's move on here this week to some useful information, shall we? Putting together a sensational outfit for your holiday uniform. Did I say uniform? Yes, I did! I don't always abide by the uniform because I dress according to mood but generally have a small selection that I choose from for holiday set aside anyway. I am thankful for Mom sick days

Mom takes a sick day.

After having a tooth pulled on Monday, I was not feeling well. It wasn’t really the pain, but the disturbance in my mouth truly infuriated my body. I was lethargic and nauseas. Monday night my two beautiful rambunctious boys were home alone with me. I not even wanting to get off the couch, let them eat whatever they wanted and watch whatever they wanted (from the prescreened movies available in their room). I made them sandwiches for supper, which of course they… Continue

Are you Ready?

I get the feeling many of us want to take control of our health and well being this holiday season! I am very passionate about health and fitness. I truly believe it is the most important core value we can have. I am amazed how many people don’t pay attention to their health with 66% of Americans overweight. We need to each commit to being part of the solution and not contribute to the problem.

Your health is the foundation to any… Continue

Super Momma!!

Are you trying to be supermomma but end up feeling overwhelmed, stressed, tired, and unappreciated. Then it may be a good time to rethink things. Momma’s are the world’s best jugglers: family, work, money—they seem to do it all. Us Mommas need to remember we do not have super hero powers and we do need a break from time to time.

These play groups help us bond with others in the same situation and they give us a reason to put on a clean shirt. The kids play on the floor while the moms usually stand around having a cup coffee. Some of us are hoping to learn the secret to being a perfect mom and some are just… Continue

Godwinks as Guidance~ By, Miriam Cash

Did you ever experience a Godwink? I do all the time. Sometimes they are few and far between. The other day I had four! Four distinct Godwinks directed to me with clarity. They were all good messages to steer me in the proper direction at the time and made me realize my choices were right for me. I wonder sometimes why I get redirected like that, from what seems to be a higher force or being watching over me.

One of my boys was in the car… Continue

Protect kids in need from illness and loneliness by donating to Pajama Program

Pennsylvania Pajama Chapter President Jill Janowski told me that moms would be heartbroken to know just how many children were going to bed everynight -- in our own backyards -- in the dirty clothes worn all day that do not provide enough warmth -- or almost as important -- comfort.

While none of us can solve all of the worlds problems like disease, poverty and abuse, there is one affordable thing we can do that will make a direct and positive impact in the life of a child living in… Continue

If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman.

"Moms are on the front line of making changes to education. They can, and should, advocate for their children," according to State Representative Barbara McIlvaine Smith.

Recently, I interviewed Representative McIlvaine Smith who explained what drew her to public service, her work on improving mainstream and special education and why she believes female legislators are well qualified for the job.

She ends with one of my favorite quotes from Margaret… Continue

"Take the Jon & Kate example, and do the mirror opposite," said a West Chester based divorce attorney. "Until you are dead and buried, you will have a connection to that person through your… Continue
