I have had another person tell me how much they enjoy "reading" me on Facebook. I know its a small venue but hell its what I can handle right now. If I started my own blog, my fear would be that no one would read it and that no one would understand my point of view. Fear makes you think more than you realize. Living in that fear lights up your brain and thought processes and quite possibly puts you into a gear that only a Porsche or Ferrari has, it drives you and stays in your head. You have…

Ladies,
Before the Halloween madness begins, treat yourself to some couture at bargain prices at the CCC sale. Plus, the proceeds from the new-to-you Armani, Chanel, Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik items help Dragonfly Forest, a group that provides camp experiences to special needs kids.
Saturday is the last day of the three-day sale. Prices will be low. How low? Well, I've made an agreement not to say, but trust me, it's worth it!! You won't be dissapointed. No tricks -…

As a child, I would often play 7up in school. I always enjoyed the game immensely. I came across these 7UPs and just had to share them!
1. Wake Up!
Decide to have a good day.
'This is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.' Psalms 118:24
2. Dress Up!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
'The Lord does…

I have to admit --I get scared. It has taken me years to get better at stepping into discomfort and fear. I know it may sound odd that you can get
'comfortable' at being 'uncomfortable'. It is our natural reaction to resist anything uncomfortable but, if we resist we often miss out on our greatest growth.
Fearless living is passionate living. You need to decide if you fear staying on the path you are on more then you fear making a change. How badly do you want to live a life with…

October is national Family Sexuality Education month, and that's important because it's a reminder for parents that frequent conversations about sexuality can empower and protect kids.
That's according to Jill McDevitt, owner of West Chester's Feminique Boutique, who also says there are three mistakes that parents often make when talking to their children about sex.
Check out…

Three years ago, a customer asked Susan Hunter a question that would change her life. Susan is the owner of Butterflies and Blossoms, an award winning children's consignment store in West Chester, Pa.
A young mother battling breast cancer, asked Hunter if she had gotten a mammogram yet, and Hunter replied that she had been procrastinating.
"Surprise, I had a mass," Hunter said, "and it was a rather large mass that no one had (previously) detected."
While Hunter…

Did you know that more than half of teen girls and young adults would rather be hit by a truck than considered fat?
Even more troubling, 81 percent of 10 year-olds are worried about becoming fat. To put this in perspective, these very young ladies are either still playing with their American Girl Dolls or are not too far removed from them.
There is a way that we moms can change this dialogue and feel better about ourselves as well as set healthy examples for…

Friday morning, 10-16-09 - I Yelled This Morning and Pulled a Vocal CordThis is more of a confession than anything useful at the moment. I might find something in hindsight but at the moment I have nominated myself as "The Mother Who Yelled Too Much In Ten Minutes". Can you imagine a mother yelling at her adorable, always innocent offspring? I know, I'm flogging myself and talking to the dog, Charlie, about this problem that just seems to grow and grow for the past 14 years and 3 sons.…

I have many things in my life that inspire me but now I have a new inspiration! Kristan Cunningham of HGTV's Design on a Dime. Kristan is the newest spokesperson for Raymour and Flannigan furniture stores and I had the lucky pleasure of meeting her recently for an in- store event.
Raymour and Flannigan's King of Prussia location on DeKalb Pike hosted two design seminars along with two sweepstakes for an attendee to win a $2,500 room makeover. What fun! I was scheduled for another…

This may seem like an odd topic but believe me, I hear this complaint so frequently I thought I'd explore it! Soothing an aching head once again I find myself contemplating what it was that brought this one on in the first place. I have had my share of aching heads lately and I usually like to place the blame somewhere so as not to panic, I suppose.
Weather? Lack of sustenance? Dehydration? Female crankiness? Too many hangups on the answering…

I know this isn't completely along the lines of the positivity we're all focussing on, but it is good for a laugh and I'm willing to bet we all can relate to it in some way.
But, best of all, it reinforces the need for us Moms to go BEYOND THE BUS STOP!!
Just thought I'd share : )
