I'm so excited this morning - my first e-book, "The Faith Challenge" has been launched! I'm praying that God will use it to heal lots of hurting Mommy hearts while giving them a faith that is strong enough to walk this tough journey they're on - the journey of having a child with a serious health challenge. I also pray He'll fill those hearts with the knowledge of who He is so that they can go out and shine like the sun for Him!
What an exciting day!

The recent news from Philly anchor Monica Malpass combined with the first birthday of Octomom's babies renewed the debate on how old women should be to have children and how many they should have. Missing from the discussion are resources to help the growing trend of women who are deciding to have and raise children by themselves.
iSingleParent is a new magazine currently available in the Philadelphia area designed for any parent determined to have a happy and fulfilled life as they…

I guess you could say I’m a little rebellious. When our son, Seth, was born with multiple heart defects, we had the opportunity to join a support group for “Heart Families”. He was referred to as “Heart Baby”, and we were “Heart Mom” and “Heart Dad”. I hated those labels. Every time we were called one of those names or received a letter addressing us in those terms a picture jumped in my head. It was a picture of Seth’s defected heart consuming us all and who we are as children of…

Quick! You have less than two minutes to persuade a decision-maker, a wishy-washy client or a new customer that your idea, service or product deserves action. Can you do it? If you tell a story, stick to core messages and know your rights, you are far more likely to engage and persuade.
Tell a Story: Anyone who has survived a speech 101 class can tell you that stories are a surefire way to start a presentation, but few can tell you why.…

For winter boots abound! All styles and especially colors! Have you seen the new Fryes in jellybean hues of pink, orange and purple? Cowboy, biker, slouched, ankle, bootie and over the knee are everywhere. Change your boot to match your mood!
Also try the new matte nail colors, really awesome and chic. Polished purple strapless dresses are on all the stars in the style sections. It's a "Do"! And my favorite look ever is piles of pendants.…

For a long time I forgot what I enjoyed doing for myself. I was busy picking up scattered toys on the floor and playing the Barney song over and over again. Then one day, I realized all three of my kids were on the bus and off to school. I had to ask myself,
Now What? I had forgotten my favorite color (which is red by the way) and also what I enjoyed doing when no one was around to tell me what I liked. It was scary and exciting all at the same…

As a mother, wife, business woman, daughter, sister and friend, I have caused myself to feel stressed and overwhelmed with other people's demands and problems. Today, I realized that is was time to say NO and that saying NO is okay. People that love and respect me would have to accept and understand. As a spiritual person, I truly believe God allows circumstances in our lives to force us to realize that is time to SLOW down. Today was my true…

I had a dream trip to Costa Rica two years ago. It was our first trip really alone since our honeymoon 15 years ago! We were on top of a mountain with our charming guide overlooking the ocean! I asked him what was his dream in life. He said some day he would like to visit the United States. But, he went on to tell us all the obstacles that he would have to overcome. There were more challenges then most of us can imagine and he did not think it would…

As I ponder the fact the fact that so many people in the U.S are economically not doing well, so many people don't have a job or the money to pay the monthly bills, and that at the same time so many are overweight and unhealthy, I have realized how important it is for me to share the BeachBody coaching opportunity with as many people as possible. By working on becoming Diamond in 90 days I am doing all I can to reach out to people by contacting 2 people a day with the opportunity to earn money…

Happy New Year to all! I took an extra week to regroup, hoping you don't mind. I figured I'd best practice what I preach, right?
Remember way back early summer when I talked about assigning a weekly to-do task to my calendar each Monday, giving myself seven days to accomplish? Well, look below! The pantry was one of them! While it took me more like seven months instead of seven days, boy, do I feel great! And this is an important lesson to…

Friends, I must confess...I'm a slave to my Uggs! I can't take them off! And I am like you, when I first laid eyes on them I thought to myself, these things are aptly named 'cause they are uggggly!!!
I succumbed in private by investing in a pair called Coquette, the lug-soled slipper that gets me through my winter! I pop them on when I fumble out of bed in the morning and they are the first things I run to when I'm home again. Off and on they go day in and day out. I'm never too…
